The cooperative farming investment option offers investors the ability to invest in smaller farm sizes of a minimum 1 hectare unlike the contract farming where a minimum 20 hectare farm land is required.

The entire process of crop production from land acquisition / lease, land development, cultivation, management up to harvest is done by Agro News Nigeria.

Under this farming arrangement, the cooperative member has the option of receiving return on investment on the farmland converted into money or has the option of also receiving produce at agreed yield at harvest.

Where the investor decides to receive produce at the end of harvest, it is at his discretion to decide which crop he wants the cooperative to farm for him or her.

Under the contract farming option, the minimum hectare subscription is 1 hectare for each crop.
